Goalkeeper Arthur Desmas, 32, has announced his retirement from professional football because of the after-effects of several concussions, according to Foot Mercato and Get French Football News.
Get French Football News reports that the goalkeeper said the decision was taken by his neurosurgeon. Foot Mercato adds that he spoke on Canal+ on Wednesday.
His club Al-Duhail are third in the Qatar Stars League with 15 points after 7 matches. They beat Lusail 3-1 on 24 October and host Al-Wakrah on 31 October at 16:30 Casablanca time.
