Elena Rybakina won the WTA 500 event in Ningbo, China, on Sunday, according to L'Équipe. She beat Canada's Leylah Fernandez 6-2, 6-2 in the final, taking both sets by the same four-game margin.
It is the 15th title of Rybakina's career and her first since becoming world number one, a fitting way to begin her time at the top of the rankings with a trophy.
Two sets won by the same margin sum up the control she showed against Fernandez in the final.
