Davide Ancelotti is under scrutiny at Lille. According to RMC Sport, Jérôme Rothen believes the Lille coach is there only because he is Carlo's son, and his start to the season is described as mixed, with no points in the Champions League league phase.
L'Équipe adds that the Italian is still searching for the right formula: senior players to manage, a settled starting line-up to find and a long injury list. The paper says the new coach's imprint is slow to show.
In Ligue 1, Lille are 2nd with 15 points after 8 matches. They drew 1-1 at Monaco on 25 October, after a 4-2 defeat to Galatasaray on 21 October and a 1-1 draw with Brest on 17 October.
Next up: Lille host Lens on 30 October at 20:05 Casablanca time in Ligue 1. Morocco's Osame Sahraoui and Hamza Igamane are the players to watch.
