NBA: two-way players limited to 50 active games in 2026/27

Hoops Rumors reports that a player on a two-way deal agreed before opening night cannot appear in more than 50 games unless he moves up to the main roster.

Hoops Rumors reports that the cap carries over to 2026/27. Any player who agrees a two-way deal ahead of the regular season can be active in no more than 50 NBA games.

Going past that number requires a promotion: the player has to leave the two-way arrangement and take a place on his franchise's standard roster.

In the table, the Philadelphia 76ers top the NBA with 3 points.
