Mbappé dropped by three brands in China as LaLiga coverage is hit

Kylian Mbappé has lost three commercial partners in China. According to Football España, Dongpeng, Mengniu and Milkground have ended their deals over a meme clip.

RMC Sport, citing EFE, reports that Chinese state broadcaster CCTV is suspending coverage of LaLiga matches and of the forward, accused of joking about Mao Zedong. Foot Mercato adds that his account on Xiaohongshu, a popular Chinese social network, now shows a suspension.

On the pitch, Mbappé is in form: 18 goals and 5 assists in 17 appearances this season. Real Madrid, third in LaLiga with 24 points, visit Racing de Santander on 1 November at 15:15 Casablanca time.
